- One thing that I have learned over the past week is how to use Wiki pages. I think that I am going to try to use this concept while I am teaching summer school. I will pilot it in summer school and try and work out any kinks so that I am ready for the new school year in the fall.
- I am still working toward my goal of learning more about and/or teaching some of these new technology integrations during our in-service sessions in the fall. I am scheduled to meet with our Instructional Facilitator next week to look at possibilities.
- I'm not ready, at this time, to set any new goals for myself. I want to see the goals that I set for myself 5 weeks ago through.
- Next time I plan on gathering even more information about these technologies so that I have a better case when I meet with the higher-ups.

Revising GAME Plan

Hi Michael,
ReplyDeleteI think it is a great idea to experiment/practice with wikis over the summer so you will be all set for the fall. Go for it!
Good for you for your persistence with what you started and not biting off more than you can chew. I usually do too much.
It is always a good idea to be overprepared when you are trying to persuade someone. It is much more convincing to have the knowledge and many examples when you present. Great idea!
Michael,
ReplyDeleteI think you will find the wikis are a hit with your summer school students. I know based on my limited experience with summer school you will benefit from a high interest/high engagement lesson. I would guess this would be a smaller class setting as well so it will be easier to assist students who need help. Good luck with your meeting - Did you get a chance to check out the blogmeister site?
Michael,
ReplyDeleteI think it is a great idea to start implementing wikis when you are teaching summer school. Hopefully you will have a smaller class size and can work out any kinks that may develop so that when the new year starts, you will be ready to use them with all of your students.
I hope your colleagues will enjoy learning many new technology tools that they can use in the classroom. This is wonderful that you have taken the initiative to get this started. Good luck!
Michael,
ReplyDeleteWow, how great is it that you get to test your ideas in summer school! It will be a wonderful experience all the way around, for you and your students. I agree that setting new goal is a bit too soon. These goals are so important, they need to be carefully considered and fine tuned.
Good Luck!
