Using the GAME Plan Process with Students

Teacher standards and student standards are inter-related to one another. I believe that without the student standards you would not have the teacher standards and vise versa.
  • At the beginning of next school year I will be presenting my students with the NET standards and ask them to evaluate them much like we did back in week 1.
  • I'll ask them to create their GAME plan for the year based on the standards.
  • At the end of each quarter the students will revisit their GAME plan and evaluate where they are in terms of meeting their goals/expectations.

  1. Michael,

What a great point...I agree that the teacher and student standards are related to one another. In order to make the students more efficient, the teacher also needs to be efficient with technology.

I hope your students enjoy the process of the GAME plan. They will realize the importance of their plan when they revisit it at the end of each quarter and evaluate what needs to be done, if anything, to ensure that they will meet their goals/expectations.

  2. Hi Michael,

I really like how you incorporated reflection and self-evaluation into your GAME plan. That is so important and often not done.

  3. Michael,
I think that setting a schedule of when to have students to evaluate their plans is a great way to keep track of their progress. This should really help you stay organized and on top of things.
